Tsuiki Air Base
JASDF Tsuiki Air Base — two F-2 squadrons in one place, more F-2s than anywhere else. The sea is off one end of the runway and the Hikosan range is behind you.

More F-2s are based here than anywhere else — on the north coast of Kyushu, facing the Suō Sea.
The real base
Chikujō, Fukuoka prefecture. The 8th Air Wing’s 6th Squadron was joined by the 8th Squadron, which moved down from Misawa in 2016, giving Tsuiki two full F-2 squadrons. The move was made to thicken the posture in the southwest.
There are only three operational F-2 squadrons in the country. Two of them are here. The 7th Air Defence Missile Group, operating PAC-2/3 surface-to-air missiles, shares the base.
The runway is a single RWY 07/25 at 2,400 m — short by the standards of the other JASDF fields in the game.
The terrain we built
22.4 km square. It is one of the largest areas in the game.
Northeast is the Suō Sea. Turn south and the Inugatake–Hikosan range rises to 1,183 m, 25.6 km out on a bearing of 205°. Sea one way, mountains the other is the picture here.
What it is like to fly
You start parked on RWY 07. The runway’s true bearing is 69.79°, so take off and you are heading straight out over the Suō Sea. At 2,400 m, a heavy departure keeps your attention to the end.
The over-water approach feels like Matsushima, but here there are mountains behind you. Swing the circuit south and the ridgeline grazes the bottom of your view.
